NaNoWriMo Series: Writing Tip #30
Updated: May 20, 2024
The final day of NaNoWriMo has finally arrived. It seems like yesterday that we were sweating over an idea and now we have....something. Some of us may have a solid first draft, others may have a solid outline. It doesn't matter what stage of the writing game you're at because either way, you survived and I'm proud of you. Writing isn't for the faint of heart and the fact that you tried at all is nothing to sneeze at. I encourage you to keep the momentum going and continue writing your story until it's complete. The deadline isn't as important as the story itself. Chomp it out bit by bit and use the tips that you have learned all month long. Continue to expand your mind and ask yourself some of these questions before tossing your cap in the air in victory:
How do you feel now that the month is over? Why?
Do you plan on continuing to work on your story? Why or why not?
What was your favorite part of NaNoWriMo? Why?
Would you participate in NaNoWriMo again next year? Why or why not?
If you want to learn more writing tips, check out what new things Teech has to say every week. Can't wait? Then check out my mini-course on The Basics of Storytelling that's available for $1. I look forward to seeing you in whatever form I appear. Until next time.
