When I first set out to write this article, I thought I'd have to explain a woman lost to time. I'm pleased to report, she is alive and well. This is the babysitter that puts all other elderly babysitters to shame. She is loud, proud, and not here for nonsense. Whoever writes her dialogue has a bit too much fun, as she is both opinionated and a bit ditzy all at once. It's time we talked about the most loveable woman of the Alvin and the Chipmunks; Ms. Miller!

Always sporting a large pink dress, Ms. Miller is a treat when she appears. A lover of music, she can often be found singing while she cooks and cleans. This may leave her oblivious to the Chipmunks at times, making her the easiest target for Alvin's schemes. It's a rare moment that this woman is quiet and is known for not being the best driver. She's trustworthy enough to leave the boys in her car, but not sane enough for Simon to feel 100% confident in being left in her care. She pays attention to the boy's preferences and caters to their individuality without judgment. A little deaf but her heart is in the right place. She is a kind of crazy grandmother figure to the Chipmunks and has various appearances throughout the span of the animated shows.
Going back to the 80s, Ms. Miller became the unofficial guardian of the Chippettes when they lived in their treehouse. I always that this was super cute because it not only gave the girls a female caregiver to lean on, but it also gave Dave a comrade in arms trying to raise all these chipmunks. Though not seen often, Ms. Miller is an animated gem that needs more love and recognition in Alvin and the Chipmunk's journey.
