Character Analysis: Get To Know Brittany Miller

It's hard to think about Alvin and the Chipmunks without thinking about the Chipettes. They've always been there beside their counterparts. For better or worse, Brittany has been butting heads with Alvin since the very beginning. Known for her sense of style and no-nonsense attitude, it's hard to see the more likable qualities of Brittany. It tends to get lost in the high-pitched arguing over chipped nails, but let's get a closer look at who this sassy girl is all about.

Forever dressed in pink, Brittany is the loudest Chipette of them all. Unapologetic to a fault, Brittany is outspoken with a confidence that can't be shaken. She strives to be a superstar and share fame and fortune with her sisters, that is if Alvin doesn't get in her way. There isn't a time that Alvin and Brittany aren't at each other's throats over something. Drama is in her nature and the tiniest things can get wildly blown out of proportion. Even in the Valentine's Day episode from the 80s version, Brittany was showing off her dramatics through somber songs about Alvin not asking her to be his Valentine. While she can be a bit of a brat, she loves her sisters and is fiercely protective of them. She gets a bit shaken up when they act out of character which can make her feel a bit threatened as the leader of the group. Being the oldest does come with its perks, so a good majority of the time Jeanette and Eleanor will follow her into whatever scheme she's cooked up. Most of the time Brittany's ego will get in the way of reason and the whole thing will go completely wrong, resulting in her having to own up to her faults. The fierce determination that Brittany can have is a bit scary. She is the kind of girl that will do anything to achieve her goals once she has set her mind on it. Her sense of style and obsession with fashion makes her attractive to others and also boost her already inflated ego.

It's funny how as I write this article, I can hear Brittany reading that last line and yelling in disapproval. But it's the truth. If you think that Alvin is bad, Brittany is 100% worse. That doesn't mean she isn't a great leader who protects her sisters and even the Chipmunks when the time arises. She has the best lines and the quickest comebacks that make you snap your head in shock (or glee). Even if she gets lost in the glitz and glamour that stardom brings, she isn't too proud to admit when she's wro- wro-....ahem wrong.
